| History | This station`s history can be traced back to August, 1926, when Brooklyn-based WBRS went on the air. In March, 1928, WBRS was sold to new owners, who moved the station to Yonkers and changed the call letters to WCOH. Later that year the station`s frequency moved to 1210kc, and in 1932 WCOH moved to White Plains and was renamed WFAS. WFAS moved to 1240kc in 1941 and finally to 1230kc in 1943. An agreement to sell WFAS to Nassau Broadcasting was made in March, 2000, but was cancelled in October, 2000. |
| Comments | WFAS switched from a talk format to an Adult Standards format on July 23, 2001. |
