| History | This station first went on the air on September 23, 1949 as WKBS, transmitting from Mineola, Nassau County on 1520 AM. The station became WKIT in 1956, WFYI in 1959, and WTHE in 1965. By the 1990`s, WTHE was operated by Universal Broadcasting of New York as a gospel station, but in 2019, after being off the air for a year, the station was purchased by Cantico Nuevo Ministries for its Spanish-language Christian programming. The call letters were changed to WJDM in May, 2021. . |
